Administrative Monetary Penalties (AMPS) is an enforcement regime that provides monetary penalties for violations of CBSA’s trade and border legislation for all commercial importations. AMPS penalties vary in amounts from a minimum of $100 up to $25,000 per incident. AMPS Penalties can be assessed against an importers, exporters, customs brokers, warehouses, carriers, freight forwarders or any of the listed representatives.
